Last year's winemaker dinners sold out quickly so we recommend you book early for your intimate winemaker dinners at restaurants in the heart of Sonoma Valley & around the historic Sonoma Plaza.
Enjoy an intimate evening, dining with the winemakers themselves, who pair their wines with the culinary delights from Sonoma's top restaurants.
hip chicks do wine @ the girl & the fig 8pm - $150
We are so excited to bring Portland's hippest - and oldest - urban winery to Gay Wine Weekend. Lesbian winemakers Laurie Lewis and wife Renee of Hip Chicks Do Wine bring their wines sourced from vineyards throughout Oregon and Washington, to Sonoma's renowned restaurant the girl & the fig for a true "country french with a passion" dining experience.
Jeff Cohn Cellars @ THe Fig Farm 7pm - $150
Responsible for making the first California Zinfandel to hit the top 10 of the Wine Spectator’s Top 100 list, winemaker Jeff Cohn, brings his Single vineyard Zinfandel and Rhône-centric wines to The Fig Farm - the source of much of organic ingredients of Sonoma's the Girl & the Fig restaurant - for an authentic farm to table culinary event.
Sonoma-loeb @ Williams Sonoma 7pm - $125
Winemaker Phillip Titus, who sources the fruit for his Sonoma-Loeb wines from some of the most renowned Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards in Sonoma County, teams up with Sonoma legendary icon, Williams-Sonoma Heritage Store & Kitchen, at their original 1956 location steps off Sonoma Plaza, to present a truly Sonoma, wine paired evening.
Winery Sixteen 600 @ 5th Street farm 7pm - $150
Legendary winemaker, Phil Coturri, has been described as a “poor old dirt farmer”, “famed organic viticulturalist” by the Hollywood Reporter and“the ubiquitous wizard of sustainable winemaking” by Sonoma Magazine, bring his Winery Sixteen 600 pioneering organic and biodynamic wines to the private estate gardens at 5th Street Farm, for a a literal Farm to Table dinner.
Mercury Wines @ Carneros bistro 8pm - $125
Sourcing all five Bordeaux varietals in the Alexander Valley and grapes from other interesting vineyards in Geyserville and elsewhere in California, gay vintner and winemaker, Brad Beard, of Mercury Wines, specializes in Bordeaux-style blends, small-lots of interesting varietals like Tempranillo and Mourvedre, teams up with Sonoma's Carneros Bistro & Wine Bar, that cultivates ingredients from the surrounding Wine Country, for a modern farm-to-table dining experience.
